Company Details and Job Overview:

A service based SME in Blackpool require an experienced senior finance professional for an initial interim period of 4-6 months. Operating in a niche and interesting sector, the business services various well-known and prestigious brands. Overseeing a small finance team, this is a diverse and hands on role which takes ownership of all financial activity for the business.

Your New Role as Financial Controller:

This Financial Controller role is a pivotal position within the business. The Financial Controller will be required to work closely with the owners and other key stakeholders. Taking ownership of all accounting related duties for the business, specific duties will include:

• Production of the month end management accounts pack
• Prepare information for year end, being the primary point of contact for auditors
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Production of budgets and forecasts
• Cash flow management
• Working closely with various internal stakeholders throughout the business to provide financial insight, advising and challenging where necessary
• Management of payroll
• Overseeing the work of the Accounts Assistants, providing mentoring/support as required
• Identify areas for improvements to existing systems and processes and implementing these where required
• Providing ad hoc reports and analysis as required


Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

To be considered you will be a personable and forward thinking individual, proven in a similar level finance position within an SME. Strong communication skills are imperative as you will be required to liaise with various stakeholders (internally and externally). You will also be able to demonstrate strong systems skills including intermediate MS Excel and knowledge of Xero is advantageous.
