Description

Our client is a well-established financial services firm based in Guernsey, providing specialist investment and fiduciary services to a broad international client base. The organisation offers exposure to areas of wealth management including fund administration, investments, trusts and corporate services. An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Fund & Investment Administrator to join the operations team and support the administration of investment funds and related client activities.

Role
This position supports the day-to-day administration of funds and investment activities, including processing shareholder transactions, preparing valuations and assisting with regulatory and operational requirements. The role offers excellent exposure to fund administration and investment operations and would suit a candidate looking to develop a career within financial services.

Key responsibilities
• Collect and review shareholder client due diligence and account opening documentation
• Process shareholder deals and maintain accurate records
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual fund valuations using the AcuFund accounting system
• Review investment advisor trade recommendations to ensure compliance with fund investment restrictions and issue instructions to custodians
• Manage shareholder communications and payments using banking systems
• Perform client bank account reconciliations
• Conduct file and risk reviews of fund shareholders
• Liaise with fund custodians and other service providers
• Assist with regulatory compliance requirements and project work as required
• Support bookkeeping tasks and reconciliation of trust and company client investments
• Place and book trades using relevant trading platforms and upload new securities to internal systems

Person specification
• No previous experience required; this role may suit a school leaver or graduate seeking a career in financial services
• Highly numerate with strong analytical ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Willingness to study towards a relevant professional qualification once probation has been completed
• Minimum five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including English and Mathematics (A-levels advantageous)
• Strong IT literacy including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and spreadsheet use
