Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Agency – Term Time Only
Pay: From £93 - £96 per day, depending on experience.

Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive and inclusive high school. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the school's wider support team to provide tailored academic, social and emotional support to students.
You may be supporting students 1:1, in small groups or within the classroom, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop greater confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students across the school.
• Support students to access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons.
• Assist students with additional learning needs and SEND.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
• Work closely with teachers to implement individual support strategies.
• Help students manage challenges with behaviour, communication or emotional regulation where appropriate.
• Support classroom activities and assist with learning resources.
• Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Build positive and professional relationships with students.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate
• Have a enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
• Patient, compassionate and approachable.
• Passionate about supporting young people in their education.
• Confident working with teenagers from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
• Resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
• A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
• Reliable, proactive and committed to safeguarding.
• Previous experience working within a secondary/high school or supporting students with SEND is desirable but not essential.
