Axcis Education are pleased to be working with a lovely special school in (Location) who are looking for a dedicated and compassionate learning support assistant to join their primary team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.
As a learning support assistant, you will work closely with pupils and the wider school team to provide high-quality, individualised support. You will help pupils engage with their learning, develop their confidence and make progress both academically and socially.
The successful candidate will:
• Have previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Have experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Have a good understanding and practical experience of phonics.
• Be confident providing one-to-one and small-group support.
• Be patient, nurturing and adaptable in your approach.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
• Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service – essential.
• Previous experience working with children.
• Experience using phonics – essential.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in education are desirable.
Location: WA4
Daily Rate: £93–£96 per day
