Learning Classroom Assistant - SEND, Chepstow
Full-Time Position
Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge? Are you happy to work in the Monmouth area?
Axcis is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Chepstow, seeking to recruit a Classroom Assistant to provide support in their mainstream classes. This role will commence in the new year and run until the end of the academic year, with potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.
Location: Chepstow, with good transport links (train station within walking distance and a large car park available)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Contract: Full-time, term-time only
Pay Rate: £80-£90 per day, paid weekly in arrears
Ideally the perfect teaching assistant would be supporting students with their studies across mainstream classes. Collaborating with class teachers and the ALNCO to provide tailored support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (ALN)
Helping students develop academically and socially, ensuring they receive the support they need in their learning environment
What we need from you:
An enhanced DBS check on the update service (if you don’t have one, you will need to apply for a new one)
A commitment to supporting students with ALN in their learning journey
Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with teachers and the wider school team
