Location: L9
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Agency, term time only
Pay: From £93-£96 per day, depending on experience.
Axcis Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team in a primary school from September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a learning support assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support for students with SEND, both in the classroom and through small group or one-to-one interventions. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
Essential Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Experience supporting students in a secondary school or educational setting.
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the DBS Update Service (essential).
• The right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEND.
• Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
• Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the school's SEND team.
