Description

Our client is a distinguished offshore legal firm with a prestigious reputation spanning over eight decades. They are known for providing pragmatic, "straight-talking" legal advice across a global network of offices. This is a fantastic chance to join an integrative central support team within a firm that has historically championed progressive change and professional excellence.

The Role
This Permanent, Full-Time position is based onsite in Guernsey. The successful candidate will work side-by-side with fee earners, managing a diverse portfolio of non-fee earning administrative tasks and junior fee earning duties to ensure the efficient delivery of client services.

Key responsibilities include:
• Administrative Excellence: Managing email inboxes, diaries, appointments, and relaying vital messages for fee earners.
• Operational Support: Assisting with the smooth running of the office, including reception duties, mail distribution, and coordinating client meetings.
• Legal Documentation: Printing, scanning, and collating legal documents, as well as assisting with both hard and electronic Court bundling.
• Liaison & Research: Communicating with Court Offices on behalf of the team and assisting with essential legal research and analysis.
• Financial Administration: Processing expense claims, managing WIP lists, and assisting with the monthly billing cycle.
• Special Projects: Taking ownership of data management projects and providing administrative support for local Probate work.

About You
The ideal candidate is highly organised, proactive, and possesses a calm approach when working under pressure.

Our client is looking for the following qualifications and skills:
• Education: Ideally a graduate, or at least educated to A-level (or equivalent) with strong academic grades.
• Technical Proficiency: A confident IT user with sound knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience with document management systems is a distinct advantage.
• Professionalism: Prior experience in a professional services or legal environment is preferred, though not essential.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional typing and formatting skills, a keen eye for detail, and the flexibility to support the wider team during busy periods.
• Communication: You should be a confident communicator in all forms, capable of working independently with appropriate supervision.
