Job Title: Midday Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Lunchtime Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring that students have a safe, enjoyable, and structured break during lunchtime. The role involves supervising children during their meals, encouraging positive behaviour, and maintaining a calm and orderly environment both in the dining area and on the playground. This position requires a nurturing and responsible approach, as well as a focus on student welfare and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure children are eating their meals in a safe and supervised environment.
Supervise students in the dining hall, playground, and other designated areas during lunchtime.
Promote good behaviour, assisting children in resolving any conflicts or issues that may arise.
Monitor students for signs of injury or distress and report any incidents to appropriate school staff.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area, ensuring that children are using appropriate table manners.
Assist children with unpacking and opening food items as necessary, and encourage healthy eating habits.
Provide assistance to children with special educational needs, ensuring they are fully supported during lunchtime.
Requirements:
• Prior experience working with children, ideally in a school or childcare setting, is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to manage behaviour and resolve conflicts in a calm and positive manner.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A genuine interest in the well-being and development of children.
• Patient, empathetic, and caring nature.
• Responsible and reliable, with a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all pupils.
• A positive role model who encourages good behaviour and teamwork.
• Able to remain calm and composed under pressure
