Job Title: SEND Music Teacher
Location: Sutton, South London
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: Competitive – based on experience and qualifications
A specialist secondary school in Sutton is seeking a creative and passionate SEND Music Teacher to join their dedicated team. This welcoming, well-resourced school caters to pupils aged 11–16 with a variety of complex needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing issues, and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons tailored to EHCP goals and individual abilities
• Use music as a tool to support communication, emotional regulation, and confidence
• Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and senior staff to support holistic development
• Foster an inclusive, structured classroom where every student can thrive
• Adjust teaching styles and content to support a wide range of learning profiles
Ideal Candidate:
• Holds QTS, PGCE, or equivalent recognised teaching qualification (ECTs welcome)
• Confident delivering lessons independently – backgrounds in tutoring, ESOL, or TEFL will be considered if combined with classroom/SEND experience
• Proven experience supporting learners with special educational needs
• Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills
• Flexible, calm under pressure, and passionate about inclusive, creative education
