The Role:
Are you an operational professional looking for a critical, specialist role without the requirements of people management? Our client is seeking an Operational Specialist to become a regulatory anchor for their business in the Channel Islands.

This unique position focuses on supporting operational execution and risk management. The successful candidate will provide dedicated oversight of outsourced service providers and support credit governance while strengthening key stakeholder relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
• Outsourcing Oversight: Own and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractual performance to mitigate operational risk.
• Regulatory Reporting: Monitor and report on regulatory expectations regarding material outsourced service providers.
• Credit Governance: Support local credit governance by providing independent, judgemental credit approvals.
• Compliance & Risk: Ensure ongoing adherence to internal governance frameworks, policies, and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Relations: Strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Trust company.
• Service Excellence: Support the delivery of proactive and innovative solutions to maintain exceptional service levels.

Professional Qualifications & Experience:
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a transferable field.
• Education: GCSEs (grade C or above) including English and Maths.
• Fiduciary Knowledge: A comprehensive and developing knowledge of fiduciary services practice.
• Technical Understanding: Knowledge of investment products, accountancy principles, commercial law, and asset management.
• Systems: Strong software skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and internal systems.
