**Job Title: Pastoral Support - Behaviour**
**Location: Rochdale, Lancashire**
**Salary: £95 per day (PAYE)**
**Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm**

Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join a dynamic behaviour team at a busy Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in Rochdale, Lancashire. This is a full-time, long-term position that offers an opportunity for a permanent contract following a successful period.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct pastoral support to learners with challenging behaviours.
- Work collaboratively with the behaviour team to develop and implement behaviour management strategies.
- Support learners with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Maintain a nurturing environment where learners feel safe and supported.
- Liaise with teaching staff, therapists, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to student welfare.
- Monitor, record, and report on students’ behaviour progress and incidents.
- Facilitate restorative practices and promote positive behaviour change.
- Engage with students to form trusting relationships that foster emotional wellbeing.
**Key Requirements:**
- Solid experience working with SEND learners, particularly those with ASC and SEMH.
- A minimum of 2 years of UK-based experience in a similar role.
- Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to managing challenging behaviour.
- Exceptional oral and written English communication skills.
- Strong team player capable of working effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
