Job Title: PMLD Teaching Assistant
Location: Lambeth, London
Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Start Date: Sept 2025
Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN practitioner looking to support young adults with complex needs in a further education setting? We are seeking a dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist team at a college in Lambeth, supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
About the Role:
This is a full-time, classroom-based role providing tailored support to students with high levels of need, including physical disabilities, medical needs, and sensory impairments. You will work closely with teaching staff and therapists to ensure students are fully engaged, safe, and supported in all aspects of their college day.
Key Requirements:
• Classroom experience supporting learners with SEN or PMLD
• Comfortable providing personal care, mobility support, and communication assistance
• A valid Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong understanding of inclusive education and safeguarding
• A calm, reliable, and student-focused approach
