**About the Role:**
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Primary Teacher to join our special educational needs school in Rochdale, Lancashire. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching secondary-aged students who are working at a primary curriculum level. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a deep understanding of SEND to make a significant impact on the lives of children with various learning difficulties.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of each student.
- Assessing individual learning needs and working on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
- Developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and setting realistic and challenging expectations for students.
- Utilizing a range of instructional techniques to promote learning and actively engage students.
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Working collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and external support agencies to facilitate effective learning outcomes.
- Regularly monitoring and reporting on the progress of students.
- Participating in school meetings, training, and events as required.
- Commitment to continuing personal and professional development.
**Requirements:**
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a primary specialization.
- Experience teaching SEND students.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with special educational requirements.
- A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to teaching and learning.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of current SEND practices and legislation.
- Ability to manage challenging behavior positively and effectively.
- A creative and innovative thinker, able to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
