Primary School Teacher – Small Class Size – SEND Experience Beneficial but Not Essential
Location: Mitcham| Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm, Friday 8.30am start (planning time included)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience | Start Date: September Start
We are working with a welcoming and well resourced specialist provision seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to lead a small class of 5 to 8 pupils. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who thrives in a nurturing environment and is looking to make a real difference.
The class is made up of pupils working at Year 2 and 3 level, supported by two to three experienced teaching assistants. While experience within SEND is not essential, it is beneficial. Pupils may present with autism, sensory needs and some may be non verbal.
The role offers a supportive structure, excellent staffing ratios and a strong focus on collaborative working.
Role Overview
Full time teaching position
Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm
Friday 8.30am start with planning time allocated
Weekly teacher meeting on Mondays (subject to change)
Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience in primary teaching
Calm, consistent and engaging classroom presence
Willingness to plan and adapt learning to meet a range of needs
SEND experience is an advantage but not required
