Location: Patchway, South Gloucestershire
Pay: £14.25 per hour
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, 4 days per week
Start Date: Immediate
Are you a Psychology or Criminology graduate looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, Social Work, Youth Justice or Education?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting children with a range of learning, communication, emotional and behavioural needs.
About the Role
You'll work alongside experienced teachers and the school's SEND and inclusion team, providing classroom, one-to-one and small-group support.
You'll help children engage with learning, develop confidence and independence, manage emotions and overcome barriers to their progress.
You may support children with:
• Autism and social communication needs
• SEND and learning difficulties
• Speech and language needs
• Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
• Behavioural and sensory needs

We're Looking For
We're looking for graduates who are calm, patient, resilient and passionate about supporting children.
Previous experience in education, childcare, SEN, care, youth work, mentoring or coaching is beneficial but not essential.
Most importantly, you'll need excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and a genuine interest in understanding and supporting children.
