Part-Time HR Reward Consultant
Working week - 2/3 days per week
Location: West Hertfordshire (office based)
Salary: Up to £65,000 (pro rata)
Are you an experienced Reward professional looking for a flexible, part-time role with real impact? We’re seeking a knowledgeable and commercially minded HR Reward Consultant to join our clients team in West Hertfordshire, working 2–3 days per week.
Our client operstes within the HR Consultancy arena and delivers tailored HR solutions to a wide range of clients—practical, expert support that drives growth, tackles challenges, and builds thriving workplaces. Their approach is hands-on, friendly, and focused on delivering solutions that truly make a difference.
What you’ll be doing:
In this varied role, you’ll provide reward expertise both to clients and in-house. This includes:
Supporting salary benchmarking, band development, and annual reviews with robust data analysis and reporting.
Researching and preparing bespoke employee benefits proposals, from wellbeing initiatives to employee assistance programmes.
Designing, reviewing, and administering bonus and commission schemes, including drafting scheme documentation.
Preparing remuneration reports and proposals for client boards and committees.
Developing innovative, business-led reward solutions to meet client needs.
Collaborating with third-party suppliers to deliver cost-effective benefit schemes.
Supporting with pension administration (e.g., Auto-Enrolment) and staying up to date with legal and regulatory changes.
Providing ad-hoc reward advice to support HR consultants in their work with clients.
You’ll also play a key role in managing in-house reward initiatives, including:
Researching and presenting reward and benefits strategies to Directors.
Managing employee benefits schemes (bonus, health cash plan, pension, group life, holiday purchase).
Handling payroll sign-off, starter/leaver processes, and employee queries around benefits.
Benchmarking salary and rate card levels and reporting to leadership.
What we’re looking for:
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in Reward and Benefits.
Up-to-date understanding of legislation impacting reward.
Experience using salary and benefits benchmarking databases (e.g. Brightmine, Croner).
Excellent commercial awareness, with the ability to design solutions that align with business needs.
A detail-oriented and analytical approach, combined with strong communication skills.
