About the Role:

This is a rewarding and varied role focused on safeguarding, attendance, and engagement. You’ll work directly with students whose attendance is a concern, providing tailored support to help them re-engage with school life and reach their potential. The role includes home visits, close liaison with parents and carers, and partnership with teaching and pastoral staff to ensure every child has the best chance to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement strategies to improve student attendance and punctuality
• Work with families and staff to address barriers to learning and engagement
• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support students in developing positive habits
• Act as a key link between school, parents, and external agencies
• Contribute to safeguarding processes and maintain accurate records
• Recognise and reward positive attendance through the school’s reward systems
• Support the wider school ethos by promoting inclusion, equality, and positive relationships

Who We’re Looking For:

• A resilient and empathetic individual with strong communication skills
• Experience working with young people and families, ideally within education, youth work, or social care
• An ability to build trust and motivate students to make positive choices
• Strong organisational skills and confidence in liaising with external agencies
• Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and promoting equal opportunities

Why Join This School?

• Make a Real Impact – Help students overcome barriers to learning and thrive in school
• Collaborative Team – Work within a supportive pastoral and safeguarding team
• Professional Growth – Access to training and CPD opportunities in safeguarding and attendance strategies
• Term-Time Hours – Enjoy a strong work-life balance while making a meaningful difference
