SEND Teaching Assistant – ASC & SLD – Coventry – Mainstream Primary

Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week

We are working with an inclusive mainstream primary school in Coventry who are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism (ASC) and severe learning difficulties (SLD).
This is a fantastic long-term role for someone who wants to work closely with pupils in a caring, positive and team-oriented environment.

The Role:
You will:
• Support children with communication, emotional regulation, and learning routines.
• Implement structured support plans alongside the SENCO and teaching staff.
• Use visual communication aids, sensory strategies, and routine management tools.
• Create a safe, predictable and engaging learning space.
• Assist with transitions and play-based learning activities.

About You:
• Previous experience working with ASC and/or SLD is preferred.
• Knowledge of autism strategies, including visual schedules and sensory processing.
• Patient, empathetic and reliable.
• Positive approach to behaviour support.
• Any qualifications in SEND or early childhood education are a bonus.
