About the Role:
• Full-time SENCO position in a vibrant and supportive high school
• Immediate start – long-term or permanent opportunity
• Oversee the provision for students with SEN, working closely with teaching staff, support staff, and external agencies
• Develop and implement effective strategies to support students’ learning and progress
• Maintain and update EHCPs, IEPs, and other relevant documentation
• Line-manage support staff and contribute to staff training on SEND matters
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)
• Proven experience working as a SENCO or in a similar leadership role within a secondary setting
• Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and recent legislation
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A passion for inclusion and a commitment to ensuring all students can access high-quality education
