SEND Teaching Assistant – Mainstream College, Isleworth
A mainstream college in Isleworth with a dedicated SEND department is recruiting for a long-term SEND Teaching Assistant to support students aged post-16.
The role is available 4 or 5 days per week (depending on availability) and involves supporting students with a range of complex needs, including ASD, SEMH, anxiety, behavioural needs, and MLD/SLD. Support will be matched to your experience and strengths.
The Role:
Monday-Thursday/Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:45am-4pm
Pay rate: Between £89-95 per day depending on experience
Expectations:
• Provide in-class and individual SEND support to post-16 students
• Support learning, engagement, and behaviour
• Work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team
• Support students’ independence and wellbeing
Requirements
• Proven experience working with post-16 students as a teaching assistant
• Experience in a college or secondary school setting as a teaching assistant
• Confident supporting students with complex and varied SEND needs
• Patient, adaptable, and reliable
Additional Information
• Days: 4 or 5 days per week (preference-based)
• Contract: Long-term
• Interview process: Formal interview, with preparation support provided
