Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
Pay: £103 per day

A specialist school in Exeter is looking for a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join its supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Anxiety, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), and communication difficulties.

About the Role
As a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning while supporting their emotional wellbeing and personal development. Working alongside teachers and specialist staff, you'll help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child can thrive.
You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, encouraging independence, confidence, and positive relationships throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide learning and emotional support to pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Build positive, trusting relationships using a nurturing and trauma-informed approach.
• Support pupils to develop confidence, emotional regulation, communication, and social skills.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver personalised support.
• Assist in implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual learning targets.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the wider school team.
• Use positive behaviour strategies to support pupils with additional needs.
