Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant – Vocational Courses
Location: Bromley, South East London
Hours: Monday to Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term

A well-regarded mainstream college in Bromley is seeking an experienced and confident SEND Learning Support Assistant to support students with additional needs across a variety of vocational subjects, including Construction, Hair & Beauty, Media, Catering, and more.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive college environment, working closely with students who require academic and emotional support to thrive in their post-16 studies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and group support to students with SEND, including ASD, ADHD
• Support students during practical and classroom-based vocational lessons
• Encourage student engagement and independence
• Collaborate with tutors and SEN staff to deliver consistent and structured support
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
Requirements:
• Must have experience working in a classroom setting (secondary or college)
• Confident, proactive, and calm under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Enhanced DBS dated within 3 years
This is a September start role, with interviews taking place over the coming weeks.
