Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – College Setting LSA
Location: Bromley, South East London
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00am–3:00pm or 8:30am–3:30pm
Start Date: September 2025, Full-Time | Long-Term
A well-regarded SEND college in Bromley is looking for a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team full-time. The college supports young people aged 16+ with a range of additional needs, including autism, complex learning difficulties, medical needs, and physical disabilities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a background in care or support support work to transition into an education-focused role, while continuing to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for learners with SEND
• Assist students with personal care, mobility, and feeding where required
• Promote independence and engagement in daily college activities
• Work closely with tutors, therapists, and support staff to meet EHCP outcomes
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured environment for learning and development
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience supporting individuals with additional or complex needs (care background encouraged)
• Empathy, patience, and a calm, consistent approach
• Willingness to support with personal care and manual handling if required
• Team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
