Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary School - Romford
Location: Romford
Contract: Monday - Friday
Start: Immediate or ASAP
PAYE: Starting at £89 PAYE
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a lovely mainstream primary school in Romford. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and helping them reach their full potential.
Although the school is a mainstream setting, you will be working closely with students who have special educational needs (SEN), providing tailored support to help them thrive both academically and socially.
About the Role:
• Full-time Teaching Assistant position in a welcoming and supportive primary school
• Working alongside class teachers to support pupils with additional needs
• Assisting with classroom activities and learning plans
• Encouraging student engagement and independence
Ideal Candidate:
• Previous experience using PECS and/or Makaton is highly desirable
• A caring, patient, and personable individual who can build positive relationships with pupils
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for education
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
