SEND Teaching Assistant – SEMH & Trauma-Informed – Hampton-in-Arden Area
Location: Hampton-in-Arden, Solihull
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
A primary school in Hampton-in-Arden is looking for a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 child with SEMH needs following early trauma. The role involves relational support and a nurturing, consistent approach.
The Role:
You will:
• Provide consistent 1:1 support to build emotional security
• Use trauma-informed strategies to reduce dysregulation
• Implement behaviour plans and help build emotional vocabulary
• Collaborate with the SENCO and safeguarding team
About You:
• Background in SEMH, trauma-informed care, or nurture provision
• Strong boundaries, empathy, and behaviour management
• Able to form safe, trusting adult-child relationships
• Reliable and available for long-term support
