SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Stonehouse, GL10
Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary

Axcis is working with a specialist institution supporting students aged 2-19 with severe or profound learning difficulties. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential day-to-day support to students, creating a nurturing and engaging environment.
Who We’re Looking For
• Qualities: Flexible, reliable, resilient, empathetic and patient
• Experience: Prior experience with children with special educational needs is essential; candidates should be comfortable working with students with autism, ADHD, complex needs and other learning disabilities.
• Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
What We Offer
• Facilities: State-of-the-art amenities, including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, and a main site alongside a post-16 facility, providing an all-rounded learning environment.
• Compensation: Pay is £89 per day, based on experience and qualifications, with weekly payments every Friday.
Ideal Candidate

• Nurseries or early years settings.
• Colleges or further education environments.
• Youth clubs or similar community-focused organisations.
• Residential care or care home support roles.
• Personal experience supporting someone with SEND (e.g., a family member).
Graduates in fields such as sociology, psychology, sports, music, art and drama are also highly encouraged to apply!
