Description
An independent, Guernsey-based financial services provider is seeking a Senior Fund Administrator to join its dedicated fund administration team. This role offers the opportunity to take responsibility for a portfolio of complex fund structures and play a key part in client servicing and junior staff development.
Role Overview
The Senior Fund Administrator will handle the day-to-day administration of a range of funds, management companies, and associated structures under the guidance of the line manager. The position involves a broad array of responsibilities, requiring attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, and strong client relationship skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer a portfolio of complex funds and related structures, liaising daily with clients and intermediaries.
• Manage all company secretarial matters, including preparing board agendas and packs, scheduling meetings, attending board/shareholder meetings, and drafting minutes.
• Prepare payments and process investment transactions across structures, including maintaining bookkeeping records.
• Maintain accurate investor records and process related updates.
• Oversee the onboarding process for new clients and entities, ensuring procedural compliance.
• Train staff on electronic banking systems and co-ordinate bank account openings.
• Ensure timely regulatory/statutory filings and maintenance of internal databases.
• Complete Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations.
• Mentor junior team members, supporting their development and training.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service excellence and proactive communication.
Skills and Experience Required
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial services administration.
• Good working knowledge of the Guernsey regulatory framework and financial services operations.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Confident with Microsoft Office and core administration systems.
• Holding or studying towards a relevant professional qualification such as CGI, ACCA, or ACA (or willingness to do so).
• You must hold a valid Guernsey residential certificate or permit to apply for this role.
