A well-established technology provider is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to take the lead in delivering operational support for its cloud services infrastructure. This role will focus on ensuring high service standards for customers, supporting virtualisation, storage, networking, and security technologies, while also contributing to service improvements and mentoring colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide third-level support for VMware vCloud, vCenter, vSphere, storage, networking, firewalls, and associated systems.
• Lead incident resolution, customer requests, and service improvement initiatives.
• Advise on infrastructure design, migration, and backup/DR strategies.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and vendor releases.
• Mentor junior team members and produce technical documentation.

Skills and Experience
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, virtualisation, networking, and security systems.
• Experience with backup, replication, Microsoft AD, and DNS.
• Industry qualifications such as VCP, CCNA, or equivalent desirable.
• Proven background in customer service and relationship management.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a service provider environment.
