This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Sous Chef who is passionate about quality, fresh food and wants to work in a kitchen where seasonal menus, local produce and high standards are genuinely at the heart of what they do.

The Role

• Maintaining consistently high standards of food preparation, cooking and presentation
• Working with fresh, seasonal produce and quality ingredients
• Supporting menu development and seasonal changes
• Managing stock levels, ordering and reducing waste
• Monitoring GP, portion control and food costs
• Ensuring dishes are consistently plated and presented to a high standard
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards
• Training, mentoring and developing junior members of the team
• Working closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations

About You

• A good understanding of GPs, stock control, portion control and food costs
• Experience with menu development and seasonal produce
• Strong plating and presentation skills
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• A stable employment history and a good level of longevity in previous roles
• The ability to lead by example and maintain high standards during busy services
• A genuine passion for food and delivering an excellent customer experience

The Venue
This is a well-established and well-regarded food-led business with a strong and loyal customer base.
The kitchen focuses on seasonal menus, quality ingredients and locally sourced produce, with a clear emphasis on delivering consistently high-quality food rather than simply pushing volume.
You’ll be joining an established team and a business with a strong reputation within the local area.
