A welcoming and supportive primary school in Sale, Trafford is looking to appoint a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a child on a one-to-one basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in education who is looking for a long-term role, with the possibility of joining the school’s team permanently.
About the Role:
The role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them to engage in the classroom and reach their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and encourage learning, confidence, and positive behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
#Offer one-to-one support to a child with specific learning or behavioural needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
#Help deliver engaging and accessible learning activities
#Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
#Support the wider classroom when needed
#Communicate regularly with staff and contribute to progress reviews
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
#Has experience working with children in a school or education setting
#Is confident supporting pupils with additional or complex needs
#Is calm, understanding and patient
#Takes initiative and works well as part of a team
#Holds a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
