Axcis Education is seeking confident and motivated Teaching Assistants to join a large mainstream school in Knowsley. The school supports students from diverse backgrounds and offers a supportive, resource-rich environment where you can thrive and develop your skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to meet individual student needs
• Support students with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD, helping them manage emotions and behaviour
• Assist with the KS3 curriculum, ensuring pupils stay engaged and on track academically
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies to maintain a structured and supportive classroom
• Build trusting, nurturing relationships to encourage resilience, independence, and personal growth
What We’re Looking For
• Experience working with children with SEMH, ASD, or ADHD
• A calm, empathetic, and professional presence capable of keeping students focused and engaged
• Ability to act as a positive role model, inspiring students to achieve their best
• Commitment to supporting students’ personal, social, and emotional development
Requirements
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply (support provided)
• Previous experience in a school or care setting supporting children with additional needs
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Enthusiasm for fostering an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment
