A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the L30 area is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this Autumn.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils across EYFS to KS2, many of whom have complex needs such as non-verbal communication, sensory processing challenges, and social-emotional difficulties.
About the Role
As part of the school’s SEN provision, you’ll play a key role in helping children achieve both academically and personally. Every day, you’ll be supporting pupils to build confidence, develop communication skills, and grow in independence.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and learning activities
• Encouraging independence, social interaction, and self-esteem
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes
What We’re Looking For
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care settings)
• Confidence working across EYFS to KS2 age groups
• A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – support provided)
• A calm, patient, and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for inclusive education
