Axcis Education is seeking confident and motivated Teaching Assistants to join a large mainstream school in Knowsley. The school welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and provides a supportive, resource-rich environment where staff are encouraged to grow and develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to meet individual student needs
• Support students with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD, helping them manage emotions and behaviour
• Assist with the KS3 curriculum, ensuring pupils remain engaged and make academic progress
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies to promote a structured, supportive learning environment
• Build trusting and nurturing relationships that encourage resilience, independence, and personal growth
What We’re Looking For
• Experience supporting children with SEMH, ASD, or ADHD
• A calm, empathetic, and professional approach that keeps students engaged and focused
• Ability to act as a positive role model, inspiring students to achieve their best
• Commitment to supporting students’ personal, social, and emotional development
Requirements
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – support provided)
• Previous experience in a school or care setting supporting children with additional needs
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Enthusiasm for fostering an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment
