Salary: From £93-£96 per day, depending on experience

Axcis Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated teaching assistant to join a welcoming secondary school. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is patient, caring and confident working with young people who may require additional academic, emotional or behavioural support.
The Role
As a teaching assistant, you will work alongside teachers and support staff to help students engage with their learning and develop their confidence and independence.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting students on a one-to-one or small-group basis
• Assisting students with their classwork and learning activities
• Providing encouragement and helping students remain focused
• Supporting students with additional learning needs
• Helping to promote positive behaviour and engagement
• Building positive and trusting relationships with students
• Working closely with teachers and other members of the support team
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
• Caring, patient and approachable
• Passionate about working with young people
• Able to build positive relationships with students
• Confident supporting students with a range of needs
• Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic
• Able to work effectively as part of a wider school team
• Experienced in education, youth work, care or support work is desirable, but not essential
A background in care, support work, youth work or education would be particularly beneficial, especially for candidates who are comfortable supporting students with their emotional, social and behavioural needs.
DBS Requirement
Candidates must have a Child and Adult Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain the appropriate DBS checks.
