Carry out manual handling tasks when required (note: full training is not provided).

Support during weekly swimming sessions; some staff will assist pupils in waist-high water as needed.

Assist in the regulation of challenging behaviours using calm, consistent strategies.

Encourage pupils to develop independence, confidence, and self-esteem.

Work closely with a diverse, experienced team where teamwork and communication are key to success.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Previous experience supporting SEN pupils, preferably in a Key Stage 2 setting.

Ability to adapt support approaches based on each child’s needs.

A collaborative, team-focused approach with a strong sense of empathy.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (required for appointment).

What the Role Offers:

13 weeks of holiday per academic year.

Access to the AXCIS Academy, offering free online CPD to develop knowledge in a wide range of SEN areas.

Free onsite parking.

A warm, inclusive staff team that supports each other and values team effort.

A positive and enjoyable working atmosphere with plenty of variety and professional growth.
