Description
Teaching Assistant – Primary School (L25)
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker or Care Professional looking to make a difference in a primary school?
We are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the L25 area. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs who is passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential.
Working alongside the class teacher and SEN team, you will provide tailored support to pupils both in the classroom and through small group or one-to-one interventions. You will support the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons, adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, encourage pupil engagement, promote positive behaviour, and help create a safe, nurturing learning environment. You will also monitor pupil progress, communicate observations with teaching staff, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure pupils receive the support they need to succeed.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience supporting children or young people with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, challenging behaviour, Cerebral Palsy, complex needs, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
To be considered for this role, you should have recent experience supporting children or young people within a primary or secondary school, specialist SEND provision, residential children's service, care setting, or youth work environment. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applicants who do not have relevant experience working with children or young people.
If you are patient, adaptable and committed to making a positive impact in education, we would love to hear from you.
