Teaching Assistant – Secondary | East London, Leytonstone (E11)
Start: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 4:00pm (6.5 hrs paid)
Contract: Full-time | Long-term (until end of academic year)
Pay: £89 per day (PAYE)
A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in East London (E11) is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible, ideally continuing through to the end of the academic year.
You’ll be supporting students across mixed-ability classes, including those with complex needs, autism (ASD), and behavioural challenges, as well as pupils in mainstream lessons. Working closely with teachers and the SENCO, you’ll play a key role in promoting positive engagement, managing behaviour, and ensuring every student can achieve their potential.
The school is seeking someone who:
-Has strong experience supporting young people with SEN and complex needs
-Is confident working with both SEND and mainstream students
-Brings a proactive, calm, and adaptable approach to a busy classroom environment
-Is reliable and committed to making a lasting impact
