Daily Rate: Up to £105 per day
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream school in the Trafford (M23) area. This role involves punctual, consistent 1:1 support as well as general in-class assistance across KS3 and KS4. You will work closely with teachers and liaise regularly with the SENCO to stay fully updated on student needs and support strategies.
What we’re looking for:
-Prior secondary school experience is essential (KS3/KS4)
-A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain/pay for one
-A patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach to supporting young people
-Excellent punctuality and reliability, especially for ongoing 1:1 support
-Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
-A proactive, adaptable attitude
Your responsibilities will include:
-Providing consistent 1:1 support to a student with specific needs
-Offering general classroom assistance across KS3 and KS4
-Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to tailor support
-Helping maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
-Assisting with differentiated resources and activities where needed
