Location: Warrington
Start Date: Immediate or October 2026

Teaching Assistant – KS2

Are you passionate about supporting children and helping them develop their confidence and independence?

A friendly and welcoming primary school in Warrington is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive school where you’ll work closely with teachers to help pupils access learning, develop positive relationships and thrive in the classroom.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
• Support children across the KS2 curriculum, including English and Maths
• Help pupils access lessons and complete learning activities
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Encourage confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing
• Prepare and adapt learning resources
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
• Experience With SEND

Experience supporting children with any of the following would be beneficial:

• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• SEMH
• Challenging behaviour
• Complex needs
• Cerebral Palsy
• PMLD
• Severe Learning Difficulties

Your Background

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:

• Schools or education
• Care or support work
• Residential settings
• Youth work, clubs or mentoring
• Childcare
• Foster care
• Personal or family experience supporting children with additional needs

You don't need to have worked as a Teaching Assistant previously. Strong transferable experience, patience and the right attitude are equally important.
