Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and personally? We are looking for a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the L20 area of Liverpool, where every child is supported to reach their full potential.

About the Role
This is a highly rewarding role where you will play a key part in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), personal care needs, and behavioural challenges. Working closely with teaching staff and support professionals, you will help foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages students to grow in confidence, independence, and ability.

Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to children with ASD and other complex needs, both within the classroom and during structured activities.
Assist with personal care needs in a respectful and dignified manner.
Help manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour support strategies.
Collaborate with teachers and external professionals to deliver personalised learning and care plans.
Promote the development of communication, social, and life skills.
Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to a positive and supportive learning journey.

What We’re Looking For
Experience: Previous experience supporting children with SEN—particularly ASD and behavioural needs—is highly valued but not essential.
Qualities: Strong communication skills, a calm and compassionate approach, and the flexibility to respond to individual needs.
Commitment: A reliable, proactive, and nurturing attitude, with a genuine desire to help children succeed in all areas of their development.
Requirements: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or the willingness to obtain one before starting.
