Axcis Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and eager to support young adults in achieving their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide in-class support to students under the direction of teaching staff.
• Assist students with learning difficulties or disabilities, both in and out of the classroom.
• Support the delivery of engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
• Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and report student progress to teaching staff.
• Provide 1:1 or small group intervention as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
• A caring and patient attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
• A good standard of general education (minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths).
• Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals.
• A proactive and supportive approach to learning.
Desirable:
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3).
• Experience supporting students with special educational needs (SEN).
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
