Axcis are pleased to be working with a higher education setting in the Manchester area. Are you an experienced teaching assistants or recent graduate with SEND knowledge/transferable skills looking for a new role?

Pay Rate: £90-105 (dependent on experience)
Location: Manchester
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA)
Contract Type: Full time/Day to Day/ Long term
Start Date: ASAP

As a teaching assistant with Axcis you will:
• Be a role model, mentor and daily support to the child/ren you will be working with.
• Support students with SEND to overcome social and academic barriers.
• Support the class teacher in delivery of the curriculum.
• Make reasonable adjustments to ensure students thrive in the setting.
• Provide 1:1 or group support to identified students.
• Promote independence in line with the settings policy.
• Support in writing CV profiles.
• Attend work placements with identified students.
• Support with internship placements.

About this setting:
• Consistent OFSETD outstanding setting
• Accredited certification in supporting SEND students with high quality work placements.
• Have mixed cohorts of SEND, including but not limited too- ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) , ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and Down's Syndrome.
• High student pass rate in all areas.
