Axcis Education are looking for a teaching assistant (level 2) for a role, starting in September in the Burnley area.
We work with a SEND provision in the Burnley area and they are seeking a teaching assistant to join their growing team, from September. The school is in brand new facilities with an on site gym and therapy pool. The school is based centrally in the Burnley area with close links to public transport and a large on site car park. The school are looking for a teaching assistant to work with their KS2 and KS3 students who have a range of needs including; autism, PMLD, MLD, downs syndrome and SEMH difficulties. Some of the students may require personal care and you may be expected to work with some mildly challenging behaviours.
The role will start on September 3rd and the role is full time. School hours are 9am - 3pm with a 30 minute lunch break and students leave at 2.30pm leaving the last 30 minutes of your working day available to help plan and prepare for the following day. The role is long term, with the potential to become permanent and candidates will be invited to join in with the schools CPD courses.
The candidate will ideally hold a level 2 or above and have TA or childcare experience. The candidate must be comfortable working with children with additional needs and be confident in working with students on the autism spectrum. Candidates must be willing to provide personal care and must be available to work Monday - Friday from 9am - 3pm in Burnley.
