SEND Teaching Assistant – September Start | Primary Schools | Chorley | From £92.63 per day

If you have experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker or in another SEND support role, we'd love to hear from you. We have flexible opportunities available, including full-time, part-time, short-term, long-term and temp-to-perm positions.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and other complex learning needs. You may work on a one-to-one basis, support small intervention groups or assist within the classroom, helping pupils engage with learning, develop independence and achieve their individual goals. You'll work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment while implementing behaviour support strategies and adapting learning activities where required.
To be considered for this SEND Teaching Assistant role, you must have:
• At least 6 months' experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Overseas applicants must have a minimum of 3 months' UK-based SEND experience.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND and complex needs.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm.
• The ability to reliably commute to Chorley and the surrounding areas.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one (Axcis Education can support you with the application process).
