Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Rochdale)

Are you a passionate and experienced teaching assistant with a strong background in supporting children with SEND? Do you have a genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives? If so, Axcis Education would love to hear from you.

We are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant to work in a welcoming and supportive primary school in Rochdale. The school has a very friendly atmosphere and has consistently received positive feedback from the staff we have previously placed there. It is a nurturing environment where teamwork, inclusion, and professional support are at the heart of daily practice.

The Role:
• Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
• Implementing EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies
• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Encouraging pupil independence, confidence, and social development
Essential Requirements:
• Proven experience working with children with SEND, particularly within a primary school setting
• A strong understanding of a range of additional needs
• A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them reach their potential
• A valid Child and Adult DBS certificate registered on the Update Service
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
