A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Bury is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis starting 6th May 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and eager to make a lasting impact in the lives of young learners.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to enhance the learning experience for all pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the delivery of the national curriculum in a classroom setting
• Working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis with children who need additional support
• Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays
• Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering a safe and inclusive environment
• Supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and adapting learning strategies as required
• Helping with administrative tasks and general classroom organisation
About You:

• Able to build strong, positive relationships with children and staff
• Committed to creating a nurturing learning environment
• Proactive and able to use their initiative
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient
• Ideally experienced in a similar classroom-based role (though training and support will be provided for the right candidate)
