Our client is seeking a Technical Specialist (Banking and Insurance) – Banking and Insurance Division, Guernsey to join its Banking and Insurance Division due to team expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advising on and assisting with applications for licenses, products, and exemptions.
• Supervising licensees by handling and reviewing notifications and submissions under the Law, such as changes of control, director changes, and licence surrenders.
• Demonstrating initiative, proactive decision-making, and pragmatic leadership in day-to-day supervisory duties.
• Identifying and monitoring risks (including emerging risks) affecting the banking sector and preparing reports or briefings on key issues.
The successful candidate will have:
• Proven experience in identifying and managing banking risks such as liquidity, market, and credit risks.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more complex activities such as financial analysis, risk management, treasury, compliance, or trading.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage sensitive and impactful regulatory activities.
