This role provides the chance to gain hands-on experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, and financial crime prevention frameworks, within a collaborative and forward-thinking team. Based in Guernsey, the role forms part of a growing Compliance department and supports the effective management of internal controls and regulatory obligations.

As a Trainee Compliance Administrator, your duties will include:
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of compliance and financial crime frameworks.
• Supporting operational compliance tasks including monitoring, assessments, and ad-hoc projects.
• Helping to maintain compliance registers, including those for breaches, PEPs, complaints, and risks.
• Assisting with reviewing CDD documentation and addressing KYC-related queries.
• Monitoring and closing off daily RiskScreen alerts and screening results.
• Supporting the preparation of reports for management and responding to regulatory information requests.
• Helping to ensure policies and controls are effectively embedded across the business.
• Contributing to staff training and promoting a strong compliance culture.
• Performing any other compliance-related administrative support as required.

What You’ll Bring
• Up to 1 year of experience in an office or compliance environment.
• Willingness to study towards a relevant professional qualification.
• Awareness of Guernsey’s finance industry and regulatory landscape.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
