We are seeking a Trust Administrator to join one of the largest independent private client firms in Guernsey. The Role
This is a permanent role within a trust and corporate services team. You will be working in a progressive environment to support a broad range of duties aimed at providing exceptional service to international families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Data & Records: Assisting with the setup and maintenance of client information in the database and managing statutory records, including minutes and trustee resolutions.
• Financial Support: Completing day-to-day bookkeeping for companies and trusts up to trial balance, including monthly reconciliations.
• Banking Liaison: Assisting with opening and closing entity bank accounts, reviewing incoming funds, and coordinating settlement instructions.
• Communication: Preparing professional emails, taking telephone messages, and conducting call-backs to support senior team members.
• Professional Development: Developing a deep understanding of firm policies, legal entity formations, and gaining awareness of relevant tax implications.
About You
This role is an excellent entry point into the sector, as no previous experience in a trust or financial services environment is required.
• Education: Successful attainment of at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4/C and above, including English and Maths.
• Communication: Effective and confident communication skills with the ability to converse with a diverse range of people.
• Organization: The ability to organize your own work schedule over the short term with appropriate support.
• Problem Solving: A proactive approach to working within specified standards and proposing solutions to straightforward daily problems.
• Team Player: A positive and committed approach to teamwork and an understanding of its importance in client service excellence.
