Description

Our client is an independent and privately owned Guernsey-regulated family office which renders fiduciary and family office services to Ultra High Net Worth individuals and their families.

The firm is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Accountant to head up the Accounting Team, support client-specific accounting matters, and manage the in-house finance function. This is a hands-on role requiring strong management experience, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting management with accurate financial information.

What you’ll be doing:
• Team Leadership: Supervise and support the accounting team, providing training and development to build on their capabilities.
• Strategic Finance: Assist the Board with developing financial strategy, managing financial risk, and ensuring compliance with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission and other regulatory requirements.
• Corporate Accounting: Prepare annual audited financial statements, quarterly management accounts, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for the firm.
• Client Accounting: Lead the client accounting function to ensure all deadlines are met, including the preparation and review of financial statements for trust and fiduciary structures.
• Technology & Innovation: Identify areas to optimize business efficiency through workflow and automated processes, utilizing the firm's advanced AI-capable platforms.
• Operational Management: Manage the sales ledger, monitor aged creditors/debtors, and act as an authorized bank account signatory.

What you bring to the firm:
• 10+ years of professional experience in the finance industry, with a significant portion in a management capacity.
• A relevant professional qualification, such as ACCA.
• A strong technology background with a passion for assisting in technology advancements and AI-based solutions.
• The ability to develop constructive relationships with peers and counterparties, supported by strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, inquisitive nature and an enthusiastic, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Valid Guernsey right to work.
